Oxford Square Sign Dedication Ceremony

It's official! We celebrated Oxford Square's Sign Dedication Ceremony! The event was honored by City Councilman, Herb J. Wesson Jr. of CD-10, who did the unveiling along with OPNC board member, Chris Elwell. The Oxford Square signs were designed by Murray Cohen, a well-respected historian. Mr. Cohen drew his inspiration from an early advertisement placed for Oxford Square by developer Emil Firth in 1909.

This marked a significant moment for us as a community; these signs not only acknowledges the historic value and architectural relevance to the cultural heritage of the city of Los Angeles, but most importantly honors our neighborhood. This could not have been possible without the help and support from OPNC and Councilman Wesson, to whom we are sincerely grateful.
